For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Dragos Stefanescu

Dragos comes from the city of Galati, in South-East of Romania. He discovered God in the ‘Holy Trinity’ Baptist church in the same city. There he served the Lord in the video-projecting department, led a teenagers’ home group and translated sermons from English to Romanian when needed.

In October 2011, he started a new chapter in his life in Groningen. Later on, through a Christian student organisation – HOST (part of the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students) he found out about a small
gathering (at that time) led by Sam Van Leer. Having searched a while for Christian community that he could call “home”, he felt welcomed and so decided to join them. Passionate about photography and travelling, Dragos enjoys helping those around him while trying to show God’s love.
