For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Service of the Word (2nd Sunday after Trinity)

10:30: Service of the Word

Readings: Ezekiel 17:22-24; Psalm 92; Mark 4:26-34

This coming Sunday, June 13th, we gather again onsite for worship in the church building on the Witte de Withstraat at 10:30am.
We are limited to a 30+ person maximum (excluding those helping lead), and we will also provide a livestream, so all can take part from wherever.
Our Bible readings for this, the 2nd Sunday after Trinity, are from Ezekiel’s hope-giving Messianic vision (Ezekiel 17:22-24); Psalm 92; and Jesus’ parables of Kingdom growth in Mark 4:26-34 — the scattered seed sprouting unexpectedly and the mustard seed growing into a big bush to provide shelter. Beautiful signs for us!
We’ll provide hand sanitation and set seats at advised distances apart. We cannot sing congregationally, and we do need wear facemasks throughout (except those under 12 years old). And if you are feeling unwell, it’s best to stay home.
We will be having a Junior Church activity for our youngest members! 🙂
If you want to attend, we do need to know before Saturday (June 12th) if possible, so we can prepare everything well, thank you.
Please let us know if you plan to come by either:
1) responding with ‘Going’ to our Facebook event invitation,
or
2) sending a message via email to chaplaingracechurchgn@gmail.com
Please also indicate how many will attend with you.
We will plan to livestream the service on our Grace Church YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVa4IiKGWhIsV61Xktuxcog
Please also note, we can’t have coffee/tea time after the service in the building itself yet, under the circumstances. Apologies!
We look forward to seeing you this Sunday if you can join us!
May the Lord bless and protect you!
