For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Holy Communion (2nd Sunday of the Month)

Grace Service of Holy Communion

This Sunday, October 11th, we will indeed gather again for worship at 10:30am, and though we now need adhere to the 30 person limit of attendees over the age of 12, you are invited and welcome!

Our readings are from Philippians 4:1-9 (where Paul appeals for steadfastness and unity among believers) and Matthew 22:1-14 (Jesus tells a parable comparing the Kingdom of God to a wedding banquet, to which we are all invited — a gracious offer we’re asked to take to heart!).

We welcome you to join us in person, and we shall continue to do our best to ensure everyone’s health and safety in the current conditions.

In light of the new rise in Covid-cases, we ask attendees over the age of 12 to wear face coverings.  You may bring your own, but we will also certainly provide them on the day for any and all who need them.

Please do let us know if you plan to come, so we can arrange seating properly.

1) responding with ‘Going’ in the Grace Church Groningen Facebook group event invitation, or

2) sending a message via email to chaplaingracechurchgn@gmail.com

Both preferably before 17:00 on the Saturday evening before, thank you!

If you plan to come with others, please do let us know precisely how many.

If you cannot attend, for health or other reasons, we will plan to livestream the service in our Grace Church Groningen Facebook group and also post it on our Grace Church YouTube channel afterwards: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVa4IiKGWhIsV61Xktuxcog

Please note:

  • We are able to offer Junior Church/Sunday School for primary school-aged children in the fellowship room during the morning service, but parents are not to sit in on it with their kids.
  • Unfortunately, there can be no coffee/tea time after the service served in the building itself.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!

The liturgy booklet for this Sunday’s morning service will be provided here:

Thank you for your support, understanding and cooperation, and we very much look forward to seeing you one way or another.

May the Lord bless you and keep you!
