For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Holy Communion (4th Sunday of the Month)

Grace Service of Holy Communion

Readings: Philippians 2:1-13 (Paul encourages us to follow Christ’s exemplary humility) and Matthew 21:23-32 (Jesus’ authority to teach is challenged, but He questions His questioners, and tells the Parable of the Two Sons).

SPECIAL NOTICE ON WORSHIP DURING THE 2020 CORONA-VIRUS PANDEMIC:

We are permitted to gather for worship in the church building, but are required to maintain the 1.5 meter distance between attendees.  Given the size of our worship space, we can likely accommodate 40-50 people.

We welcome you to join in person, and we continue to do our best to ensure everyone’s health and safety in the current conditions.

In keeping with updated worship guidelines in our Diocese and in light of the new rise in Covid-cases, we will ask attendees over the age of 12 to wear face coverings.  You may bring your own, but we will also certainly provide them on the day for any and all who need them.

For the morning service, please let us know beforehand (by the Saturday before) if you plan to come, to help us prepare seating, etc., either by:

  • Responding ‘GOING’ to the service event announcement posted in the Grace Church Facebook group, or
  • Sending a message to chaplaingracechurchgn@gmail.com

And please specify how many might be attending with you, if that applies, thank you.

We will be offering Junior Church/Sunday School in the fellowship room during the service, but parents cannot sit in on the sessions with the children.  And there can be no coffee/tea time in that space after the service.

Please do note, for those who are not feeling well on the day and therefore are advised to stay home, the morning service will be featured (either live or later, depending) on our Grace Church Groningen YouTube channel:

The liturgy booklet for this Sunday’s morning service will be provided here:

Thank you for your support, understanding and cooperation, and we very much look forward to seeing you one way or another.

May the Lord bless you and keep you!
