For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Grace Church Service of the Word, 3rd Sunday of Easter

Hallelujah! Christ is risen! And this Sunday we will gather to continue celebrating this, and share a Service of the Word together.

This Sunday’s main reading is from Luke 24:13-35, where two disciples, walking away from Jerusalem to Emmaus, in sorrow, are met by no one less than Jesus himself. But initially they don’t understand who he is. Yet, in sharing with him, in conversation, fellowship and a meal, his presence with them becomes obvious! This crucial passage prompts us to consider our relationship with Christ and each other, and the key tips Jesus gives us on how he wants us to build these up!

During the service, for our youngest members, we’ll offer a children’s activity too, and afterwards, we will enjoy coffee and tea together.

We hope you can join us!
