For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Holy Communion (17th Sunday after Trinity)

Greetings!

We come together for our Communion worship service this Sunday, both in-person in the church building and online.

For our Bible readings, we have the last in our series from the letter of James (5: 13-20), on the power of prayer, to heal and restore us. And we hear Jesus’ strong advice in Mark 9:38-50, calling us not to be judgmental, but to open the Way of Christ for others, having His salt in ourselves but also being at peace with one another. As ever, challenging and healing words!

In our building, as it is not huge, we still request adult attendees to wear face masks when singing and moving about. But when seated, we can remove them.

If you are feeling unwell, it’s best to stay home to keep yourself and others safe. We will provide a livestream, so all can take part from wherever they are.

The livestream will be on our Grace Church YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVa4IiKGWhIsV61Xktuxcog

Advance registration is no longer required, but feel free to let us know if you plan to attend, just so we can set up seating well, thanks!

You can inform us by either:

1) responding with ‘Going’ to this Facebook event invitation,
or
2) sending a message via email to chaplaingracechurchgn@gmail.comWe look forward to seeing you if you can join us.

All the best and every blessing!
