For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Palm Sunday Service

Palm Sunday Service

This Sunday (April 10th) is Palm Sunday, when we commemorate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, before he offered himself for our salvation on the Cross.
We gather together this Sunday at 10:30 am, and will sing, pray and walk together with palm crosses we provide, then listen to the story of Christ’s Passion from Luke’s Gospel, and share Holy Communion together.  And the Old Catholic church will join with us for this, so parts of the service will be in Dutch (with English translations).
We are unlikely to be able to live-stream the service because of all that it involves, so hope you can join us in person for this incredibly significant occasion to begin Holy Week, which prepares us in our yearly remembrance of and thanksgiving for Christ’s sacrificial death and glorious resurrection at Easter.

Readings: Philippians 2:5-11; Palm Gospel Luke 19:28-40; The Passion story from Luke’s Gospel (22:1-49)
