For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Sunday Worship

We gather for worship twice monthly, at 10:30am, on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, in the Old Catholic Church, Witte de Withstraat 2, Groningen.

On the 2nd Sunday of the month, we generally have an informal Service of the Word or Morning Prayer, and on the 4th Sunday, we celebrate Holy Communion together.  All are welcome!  Junior Church/Sunday School is available for children at our services.

For details of specific services, please see the ‘Services and Events’ tab on this site:

From the Spring of 2020, we have also launched our Grace Church Groningen YouTube Channel, where films of our worship are available:

In each service, one of us leads the prayers (‘intercessions’) we all offer to God, for the world, the Church, those who are suffering in body, mind or spirit, and in thanks for those who have passed away. If you have a prayer request you’d like included in the intercessions, please let the intercessor and/or Chaplain know before the service.

Prayer Chain

At other times, and whenever Grace Church members have prayer concerns they wish to share within the Grace community, we can do so through our members prayer chain in our Grace Church Groningen Facebook group.

Prayer Groups

Often on service Sundays and at other times in the week, groups open to all meet to pray together. Contact the Chaplain for details.
