For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Grace Church Service of Holy Communion (1st Sunday after Trinity)

This Sunday, the First after Trinity, we come together to worship and share Holy Communion!

And we are also delighted to welcome the Revd Apollo Makara, as our inspiring guest preacher this Sunday.

Our Bible readings for worship will come from Isaiah 65:1-9, where God proclaims to the prophet that He will welcome all peoples of the earth into his Kingdom, but wants His people to be honest, faithful and reach out; Psalm 22; and also the extraordinary passage from Luke 8:26-39, where Jesus delivers a poor man from the demons that had been damaging him, but also then calls him to return home and share with his people how God has healed his life.

These passages clearly speak to us all, that we abide in God’s love and care, and also bring these to others, with thanksgiving for all that Christ, God the Father, and the Spirit have done for us all. We all have a calling to share how grateful we are for God’s surprising and gracious blessings and to look after each other.

During the service, we will also offer a children’s activity for our youngsters, and afterwards, we also welcome all to share coffee, tea and fellowship together.

We look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday!
