For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Grace Community Care Team and Pastoral Care

Come, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

(Matthew 11:28)

Grace Community Care Team:  This Team of volunteers offers our church members support, prayer and attention in the good and bad times in life.  In the words of the apostle Paul, we seek to ‘rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep’.  In today’s world, self-support often seems the default option, but our faith proclaims a Gospel of vulnerability, care and service and encourages sensitivity and concern for others.  Grace Church members come from all over the world, and have diverse backgrounds, experiences and expectations.  In order to support each other better, we of the Grace Community Care Team encourage members to share any special needs and concerns with us, either by contacting a member of the GCC Team in person or letting us know via email at communitycare@gracechurchgroningen.com .

Grace Community Care Team members: Maartje Bussey, Meg Embry, Krina Huisman, and Sam Van Leer

Pastoral Care:  For members who are in particular need, whether owing to serious illness or any other difficulty, the Chaplain is available to listen, pray, and offer support and guidance. Please contact the following:
