For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Service of the Word (10th Sunday after Trinity)

After a brief summer break, we’ll gather again this Sunday for worship in the church building on the Witte de Withstraat at 10:30am.

For this 10th Sunday after Trinity our Scripture readings include Ephesians 4:25-5:2 (where Paul encourages fellow believers to live their new life in Christ in honesty and integrity) and John 6:35-51 (in which Jesus proclaims He is the Bread of Life). These passages help us understand how God sustains us through challenging times and circumstances and calls us to live new lives following Jesus’ example.

For safety, we continue to maintain social distancing in our small building, so can have up to 35-40 attendees (not counting those helping lead). We will also expect to provide a livestream, so all can take part from wherever they are.All attending onsite do need wear face masks (except those under 12 years old) while moving about in our small space, but we can sing behind them! If you are feeling unwell, it’s best to stay home to keep yourself and others safe.

If you want to attend, please let us know by Saturday (August 7th), so we can prepare everything well, thank you.

Please let us know if you plan to come by either:

1) responding with ‘Going’ to this Facebook event invitation,
or
2) sending a message via email to chaplaingracechurchgn@gmail.com

Please also indicate how many will attend with you.

We will plan to livestream the service on our Grace Church YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVa4IiKGWhIsV61Xktuxcog

Please also note, we can’t have coffee/tea time after the service in the building itself yet, under the circumstances. Apologies!

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday if you can join us!

May the Lord bless and protect you!
