For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Grace Church Service of Holy Communion (4th Sunday of Advent)

This coming Sunday (December 22), we gather to enjoy a Service of Holy Communion together on this Fourth and final Sunday of Advent!

Our main Gospel reading comes from Luke 1, where Mary and Elizabeth, two courageous and remarkable women who help crucially in God’s astonishing plan of salvation, meet together to support each other and celebrate God’s work in their lives, which was not without its many challenges. And our reading from Micah 5 points to humility, noting the prophesied place of Christ’s birth. Our Hebrews 10 reading also speaks to the sacrifice that our kind and compassionate Saviour later made for us. All of this a testimony to God’s grace and also His will to work with us for us, so that we may be more one with Him.

Eliza will preach, and we look forward to this!

We will also have a children’s activity during the service, and after our worship, we will share coffee, tea and fellowship together.

All welcome, and we very much look forward to being with you this Sunday!
