For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Grace Service of Baptism (1st Sunday after Epiphany)

Happy New Year to you all! This coming Sunday (January 12), the First Sunday after Epiphany, we remember the Baptism of Christ, and also celebrate the baptism of one of our newest and youngest members, lovely Rivka (Jesmar & Siegrit’s daughter).

Our Bible readings are from Luke 3:15-17, 21-22 (when Jesus was baptized by John in the Jordan) and also Isaiah 43:1-7 (where we hear of God’s graceful protection and redemption, and how God faithfully accompanies his beloved ones throughout all their challenges). These show how Christ leads the way for us but also helps us along in all things!

We will also offer a children’s activity during the service, and after worship, we will of course share coffee, tea and fellowship together.

We look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday on this special occasion!
