This Sunday (May 11), we share worship in this Easter season, as ever celebrating the new life the Risen Christ offers and brings!
Our main Bible reading is from John 10:22-30, the chapter where Jesus talks of being the Good Shepherd, but here he is then challenged by critics about who his is, to which he courageously responds: ‘My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.’ This speaks to how we accept and listen to Jesus, but also promises that all who have faith in Him will be safe.
In our reading from Acts 9:36-43 this comes through. Tabitha (aka Dorcas), a faithful and charitable follower of Christ, who was always doing good and helping the poor, is restored to life by Peter, of all people, showing that the Lord lives up to His promise of care for all who listen, know and follow Him.
Powerful passages showing how the Shepherd cares for all who truly love Him, regardless of what they face.
During the service, we will offer a children’s activity, and afterwards, we also welcome all to share coffee, tea and fellowship together.
We welcome you, and look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday!
