For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Spring 2017 Alpha Course for Groningen

Beginning on 22 February, Grace Church and IFES will offer an Alpha Course in English to introduce anyone interested to the basics of the Christian faith.

What is Alpha?  Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith. Typically run over eleven weeks, each session looks at a different question that people can have about faith and is designed to create conversation. It’s just an open, informal and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.

Who is Alpha for?  Alpha is for anyone who’s curious. The talks are designed to encourage conversation and explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly, open and informal environment. No question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish.

How does it work?  Each session includes food, a short talk and a discussion at the end where you can share your thoughts.  There is also the possibility of a weekend away in the middle.

If you want to take part, just come along!

When: 18:30 to 21:00 on Wednesdays, beginning 22 February.

Where: SKLO building, Kraneweg 33, Groningen

Help:  If you’d like to help in any way with getting the word out about the course and/or with helping with the evenings and meals, please do be in touch!
