For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Grace Church Holy Communion, Pentecost Sunday

This Sunday — Pentecost Sunday — we celebrate the wondrous blessing of God’s Holy Spirit, enlivening, inspiring and motivating us all to receive and share the love of God!

We gather for worship at 10:30 am, and the extraordinary reading from Acts 2:1-21 will of course feature.

And if you would like to read some verses of this in another language for us on the day, we would welcome that. If so, please let the chaplain know, at chaplaingracechurchgn@gmail.com , preferably by Friday (26 May) so we can prepare, thanks!

Our other reading is from John 7:37-39, where Jesus speaks of how the life-giving Spirit satisfies our spiritual thirst and also wants to flow out of us to others.

During the service, for our youngest members, we’ll offer a fun children’s activity too.

After the service, we will enjoy coffee and tea together, and a Bring-and-Share meal. So please do bring some food to share with each other, most welcome!

We hope you can join us, and look forward to sharing worship and fellowship with you on this very special day.
