For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Grace Church Service of the Word, 6th Sunday of Easter

Hallelujah! Christ is risen! Continuing in this Easter joy, we will gather to celebrate and share a Service of the Word together this Sunday at 10:30 am.

Our compelling Scripture readings are from Acts 17:22-31 (where Paul speaks to the people of Athens about God, whom they do not yet know fully, yet is their creator and one in whom they live, and move and have their being) and John 14:15-21 (where Jesus comforts and promises his disciples that he will ask God the Father to bless them with the Spirit, their advocate and comforter, and so they will also be one with God as Jesus is). Both readings show us how God supports us in the Spirit, especially in our seeking Him and in our witness to others, of His wondrous love and works.

During the service, for our youngest members, we’ll offer a children’s activity too, and afterwards, we will enjoy coffee and tea together.

We hope you can join us!
