For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Grace Church Service of Holy Communion (4th Sunday after Trinity)

This coming Sunday (June 23), we gather and share a Service of Holy Communion together on the Fourth Sunday after Trinity.

Our main readings for this coming Sunday are from 2 Corinthians 6:1-13 (where Paul shares about his hardships and how God’s Spirit sustains us nonetheless) and from Mark 4:35-41 (when Jesus calms the storm on the lake).

Storms are certainly not just to do with weather, and in both passages we see how the Lord remarkably gets faithful people through them. And the Gospel witnesses to the disciples learning that Jesus is, in fact, far more than just the kind healer and marvelous teacher whom they thought he was up to that point!

As usual, we will also offer a children’s activity during the service, and after worship, we will have coffee, tea and fellowship together.

All welcome, and we look forward to worshiping and sharing with you this Sunday!
