For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Grace Church Service of the Word (7th Sunday after Trinity)

This Sunday, July 14th, we gather for a Service of the Word in the church building on the Witte de Withstraat at 10:30am.

Our Bible readings for this 7th Sunday after Trinity are challenging, as they should be: Amos 7:7-15 (where the prophet envisions God testing the moral standards of the people, and is called to speak out), and Mark 6:14-29 (the sad story around the death of that brave voice in the wilderness, John the Baptist). Both speak to our own times, the need for justice and integrity, and how God calls us to live the way, the truth and the life our Savior exemplifies for us.

We will also share coffee/tea and fellowship after the service.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
