This Sunday (February 9), we come together for a special Service of the Word for Racial Justice Sunday, something the Church of England has been honoring for 3 decades, and a theme we know deserves focus.
We are delighted that the Revd Pat Jackson, Director of Interwoven Congregations, will preach and teach us on this crucial subject.
Our Scripture readings are from Isaiah 6:1-8 (Isaiah’s exceptional and challenging calling in the Temple to speak out for God’s work) as well as 2 Corinthians 5:17-20 (living by faith) and Mark 12:28-31 (where Jesus summarizes the Law in the love of God and love for each other). These passages will no doubt help us be far more attentive to living God’s love for each other and how love and justice come together!
During the service, we’ll also offer a children’s activity, and after worship, we will of course share coffee, tea and fellowship together.
All are most welcome, and we look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday!
