For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.’ (Ephesians 2:8-10).

Service of the Word (19th Sunday after Trinity)

We gather for our Service of the Word this Sunday, both in-person in the church building and online.

In our Gospel reading (Mark 10:17-31), Jesus calls a rich young man (and us all) to let go of materialism and follow Him, and also assures us of God’s help — ‘All things are possible with God’! We will be surprised by God’s grace, too, for all are welcome and ‘the last shall be first’. Penetrating and healing words, in keeping with what Hebrews 4:12-16, our other reading, also reminds us.

At worship, we still encourage adult attendees to wear face masks when singing and moving about, because our building is not massive. But when seated, we can remove the masks.

If you are feeling unwell, it’s best to stay home to keep yourself and others safe. We will provide a livestream, so all can take part from wherever they are.

The livestream will be on our Grace Church YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVa4IiKGWhIsV61Xktuxcog

Advance registration is no longer required, but feel free to let us know if you plan to attend, just so we can set up seating well, thanks!

You can inform us by either:

1) responding with ‘Going’ to this Facebook event invitation,
or
2) sending a message via email to chaplaingracechurchgn@gmail.com

We look forward to seeing you if you can join us.

All the best and every blessing!
